To create a photo ID for a contact you have to select the original picture by clicking the "Browse" button in the edit window. The selected picture will be loaded into the image editor, where it will be enhanced and resized.
In order to resize the original picture you have to repeat following steps:

Step 1: resizing the image

Over the original picture you will be able to see a black square (1). - in this image the square is white so you can see it better. Using this tool you can choose the image area you want to use for the photo ID. Click once inside the square.

After you have clicked, you will be able to move the square with you mouse. Move the mouse until the square is over the area you want to select and click once. The square will remain in that position. If you're not satisfied with the position you can click agaig inside and move it into a new position
- Using the slide (2) you can change the square's dimension until the square covers only the picture area you want to use for your photo ID. If after you resize the square you're not satisfied with its position you can repeat the last step.
- When you are completely satisfied with the selected area, click the "Resize" button (3). The selected area will be resized, and the result will appear in the "Preview" window (7). If you don't like the result you can repeat the last 2 steps until you are completely satisfied with the output picture.

Step 2: image enhancement (optional)

The image in the preview window may be to dark or to light. You can correct this using the brightness tool (4) to set up a new brightness level. After each change you will be able to see the result in the preview window (7).

If the image is to blurry you can add a sharpness effect. Usually clicking the "Add sharpness" once is enough to correct the picture, but if the result is still blurry you can click it again. If you're not satisfied with the result and you want to go back, all you have to do is to click once on the brightness control (without to change it's value) and all the sharpness effect(s) will be canceled.

Step 3: saving the image

After you have processed the image and you are satisfied with the result in the preview window (7), click the "Save" button (6) and the image will be saved. The image editor will close and the edit window will appear.
