To add a note you can do one of the following:

The "Add note" icon on the Quick launch toolbar is installed when you install Smart Reminder. If you can't see the icon you probably have the Quick launch toolbar closed. To open it right click on your taskbar, select Toolbars and check Quick launch. |

At the bottom of the note editor is a field where you have to enter the note's title (1). After you have finished writing/editing the note click the "Save" button or press (Alt+S) to save the note and close the editor.
You can send a note to any contact in your Smart Reminder address book that has a valid e-mail address. In order to use this option you must have Microsoft Outlook Express installed as your default mail client. To send the note click on the mail icon (2) and some additional options will appear above the note title (see the image below).

Select the name of the recipient from the list (4) and click on the "Compose e-mail" button (5). Smart Reminder will open Outlook Express and compose a new e-mail with the recipient, subject and body fields already filled in. All you have to do is click on the "Send" button. To hide this option click on the red X button (6).
