To add a new holiday you can do one of the following:
- press (Ctrl+H)
- click on the "Add new holiday" link in the shortcuts tab
- rightclick on the holiday list and select "Add new holiday"
- go to the "Records" menu and select "Add new holiday"

Smart Reminder supports 3 types of holidays:

holidays that occur every year on the same date
-
holidays that occur on different days every year, based on a rule
-
holidays that occur on different days every year with no rule
When you add a new holiday the program automatically selects the first type (every year on the same date). If you want to select a different type of holiday you have to click on the "Advanced" button (1). A larger window will appear and you will be able to see all the advanced options. Based on the type of holiday you select (3), the following options will be available:

holidays that occur every year on the same date:

the name of the holiday (2)

the date when the holiday occurs

the advanced options will be hidden

holidays that occur based on a rule:

the name of the holiday (2)
-
the rule that is used to calculate the occurrence of the holiday

the option to select if the holiday occurs every year or not
